Job Description
Position: Retail Manager
Job types: Permanent full-time
Location: Unit 1/257A Hanson Rd Wingfield SA 5013, Australia
Salary: $76,515/year (plus superannuation)
Start date: as soon as possible
Main responsibilities:
◦ Product Mix & Service Standards: Determine product mix and stock levels for
fresh produce, beverages, and ingredients, while ensuring consistency and
high service standards across all customer touchpoints.
◦ Purchasing, Marketing & Pricing: Formulate and implement purchasing and
marketing policies, set menu pricing to balance customer affordability with
business profitability, and adapt to seasonal demand.
◦ Promotion & Advertising: Promote and advertise Bami's menu and services
through in-store initiatives, digital platforms, and local community
engagement.
◦ Customer Engagement & Sales: Actively sell and recommend dishes and
beverages to customers, advising on menu options (including vegan, gluten-
free, and specialty items) to enhance the dining experience.
◦ Financial Records: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, daily takings,
supplier invoices, and other financial transactions.
◦ Budgeting & Cost Control: Undertake budgeting for the establishment,
monitoring financial performance and implementing strategies to achieve
sales and cost-control targets.
◦ Staff Selection & Supervision: Recruit, train, roster, and supervise front- and
back-of-house staff, ensuring teamwork, efficiency, and professional
development.
◦ Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety
regulations, food safety standards, and hygiene requirements, maintaining a
safe and clean environment for staff and customers.
Other requirements are:
- Work Eligibility: Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours
(Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident preferred)
- Qualifications: Diploma level, preferably in Hospitality/ Business/ Leadership/
Management
- Previous experience: At least 1 year working as a Retail Manager
- Skills: Strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, financial
management, exceptional customer service, knowledge of food safety
standards, and compliance with health regulations.
- Language: Conversant in English
