About Vapemart
Vapemart is a new retail concept opening in Harewood, Nanaimo, bringing together premium vape products, imported drinks, unique snacks, and our made-to-order Dirty Soda Bar under one roof. 19 plus only.
We’re building a fast-paced, welcoming store with a strong focus on customer service, great products, and an environment that people actually enjoy visiting.
We’re looking for outgoing, dependable people to join our opening team.
The Role
As a Retail Associate / Dirty Soda Barista Team Member, you’ll work across different areas of the store. One minute you may be helping a customer find a product, and the next you’ll be making a dirty soda, restocking imported drinks, receiving inventory, or keeping the store looking its best.
This is a hands-on position and we’re looking for people who are comfortable staying busy, talking with customers, and taking initiative without needing to be constantly directed.
No dirty soda or beverage-making experience is required — we’ll train you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Greeting customers and providing friendly, knowledgeable service Operating the point-of-sale system and processing transactions Preparing made-to-order dirty sodas and specialty drinks Learning our vape, snack, beverage and dirty soda product selection Checking identification and following all applicable age-restricted sales requirements Restocking shelves, coolers and displays throughout the day Receiving and organizing inventory Maintaining clean, organized and well-presented displays Cleaning and maintaining the dirty soda bar and equipment Keeping the sales floor, counters and back-of-house areas clean Preparing and organizing delivery and pickup orders Monitoring inventory and communicating low-stock items Following opening and closing procedures Working with the rest of the team to keep the store running smoothly
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need years of retail experience to be a great fit.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Friendly, confident and comfortable talking with customers Reliable and punctual Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in a busy retail environment Organized and attentive to detail Willing to learn new products and procedures Comfortable preparing beverages and handling food ingredients Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace Comfortable using POS systems and basic technology Available for a mix of weekday, evening and weekend shifts
Previous experience in retail, convenience stores, cafés, quick-service restaurants, beverage shops or customer service is an asset, but isn’t required.
What We Offer
$18.50 + per hour, based on experience and responsibilities

Vapemart will operate seven days a week.

Requirements
Applicants must meet all legal requirements for working in an age-restricted retail environment in British Columbia. 19+ only.
You must also be comfortable following strict identification and age-verification procedures when selling regulated products.
