Overview
We are looking for an experienced retail assistant to fill a part time role in our family run chocolate shop, located in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria.
The position involves a varied and exciting mixture of roles and responsibilities, many of which are outlined below.
We are looking for a candidate that is able to commit to a minimum of 2 days per week, between the hours of 10am - 5pm.
This is a role suited to an experienced retail worker with a creative side. We continually strive to create new and exciting products that are then sold on our shop premises as well as on our website.
We would like to find a friendly, enthusiastic, customer-service focused retail enthusiast to help nurture and develop our business, both in store and online.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the day-to-day running of the shop - including but not limited to in-store and online sales and customer service
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Maintain a clean, tidy and organised shop and back office environment
Handle customer enquiries - in person, over the phone and digitally
Monitor and service website orders
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 10 A*-C Grade GCSE’s
At least 2 years experience working in a retail management position in a similar industry
Experience with digital POS systems
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and management
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient phone and face to face etiquette for handling customer inquiries and interactions professionally
Exceptional organisation skills and time management
Experience with basic IT programmes including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Email and Excel
Experience with Shopify CMS (good to have but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate)
