Position Summary:
The Restaurant Service Supervisor is an integral contributor to the overall success of our restaurants. Our property includes multiple outlets; a rooftop bar, busy event space, a patio and our dining room. The Supervisor will assist with maintaining the organization of everything relating to the delivery of exceptional food, beverage and service. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead a team and direct the vision of a high performing operation. No two days will be alike, our teams look to the this leadership role for guidance and your relationship with our guests must be first rate.
Core Responsibility
Within CHAR Hospitality, our people always find new ways to look after the business, our teams, and our guests. This is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Key responsibilities for this position are:
Running the floors, you could be going between the roof top bar, an event and the main restaurant floor, guiding and coaching the team and ensuring each guest receives an exceptional experience.
Monitor ticket times, be the liaison between the culinary and service teams to ensure the best experience for our team and our guests.
Create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a team
Achieving the highest service standards exceeding guest expectations daily
Ensure we are consistently delivering on our service promise.
Support the team during service, running food, cocktails, bus tables, assist our hosts, prepare cocktails
Requirements
A minimum of 1 years of progressive experience within the hospitality industry
Experience in a high volume, upscale casual dining environment
Experience helping customers and servers select wine pairings, conducting the wine service and suggesting upsells.
Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
Ability to coach employees and find creative solutions to service challenges
Ability to multitask, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management, and/or equivalent desired or equivalent hands on experience
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
