Job Description

Main Purpose of the Job

To coordinate and manage the day-to-day restaurant, room service, bar service and conferencing and executive lounge operations to ensure the efficient running of all areas to obtain customer satisfaction while meeting the departmental budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

Assist in managing the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets.

Ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction in all FB venues.

Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.

Staff Supervision Development

Support recruitment, training, and scheduling of FB staff.

Motivate, coach, and provide feedback to staff to enhance performance and morale.

Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, policies, and guest feedback.

Guest Experience

Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and personalized service.

Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring swift resolution.

Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement action plans for improvement.

Financial Inventory Control

Monitor inventory, ordering, and stock levels to reduce waste and maintain profitability.

Support in achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability targets.

Quality Assurance

Maintain high standards of food presentation, service delivery, and ambiance.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of service areas.

Ensure brand standards and service protocols are consistently followed.


Qualifications

Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in a luxury or 5-star hotel setting.

Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Extensive supervisory experience in a 5-star hotel setting

Strong knowledge of NZ food safety and sanitation standards.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
