Job Summary:
As a restaurant cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer orders accurately and efficiently, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and assist them with seating if necessary.
Take customers' orders, input them into the POS (Point of Sale) system, and ensure accuracy.
Process payments using cash, credit cards, or other payment methods, and issue receipts.
Handle cash accurately and maintain a balanced cash drawer at all times.
Answer customers' questions regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure efficient communication and order accuracy.
Assist with packaging take-out orders and ensuring they are prepared correctly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station and dining area.
Upsell menu items and promotions to increase sales revenue.
Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
