Job Title: Community Programs and Outreach Manager

Job Overview

We are in search of an enthusiastic and driven Community Programs and Outreach Manager to become a vital part of our organization. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing the visibility and accessibility of our services through strategic initiatives, community interaction, and impactful communication. We seek a candidate with a robust background in community health or outreach initiatives who demonstrates a proactive approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities
• Event Management and Community Engagement: Plan and take part in various events throughout New York City, including health fairs, educational sessions, and community gatherings. Oversee volunteer management and provide updates on program activities.
• Marketing and Communications: Create engaging promotional materials, including advertisements and flyers. Address community inquiries and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill requests.
• Data Management and Reporting: Utilize data management tools to record and report community activities efficiently. Handle invoice processing and expense tracking.
• Program Development and Promotion: Work alongside clinical and administrative teams to formulate and roll out new initiatives. Actively promote these programs within the community using diverse communication methods.
• Relationship Management: Establish and nurture partnerships with external community organizations, local businesses, and nonprofits. Negotiate and execute sponsorship agreements to enhance program visibility and outreach.
• Community Affairs Communications: Respond thoroughly to requests for information concerning our services and facilities. Monitor community board activities and coordinate both internal and external communications.
• Knowledge Management: Gather, analyze, and assess data to evaluate the viability of proposed programs and services. Provide data-informed recommendations for enhancements and new initiatives.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Community Health, Health Education, Public Health, Communications, Health Administration, or a relevant field.
• 4-7 years of experience in health education or community outreach.
• Extensive relevant experience (more than 10 years) may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
