Northern Adelaide Local Health Network – Modbury Hospital – Modbury
Salary: $64,194 - $67,154 p.a. (pro rata) plus Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice benefits – OPS2
Ongoing Part-Time – working 22.5 hours per week
About the Role:

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Rehabilitation Support Worker within the Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit (MMHRU). This is your chance to contribute to meaningful recovery journeys while working in a supportive, innovative and person‑centred environment.

The Modbury Mental Health Rehabilitation Unit offers contemporary, evidence based, and high quality rehabilitation services. The multidisciplinary team play a key role in delivering person centred, trauma-informed care within a collaborative environment. The MMHRU delivers rehabilitation services that are compassionate, solution focused, promoting skill development, social inclusion, and supporting consumers to achieve their recovery goals. Staff work in close connection with both Wondakka (Community Rehabilitation Centre) and The Gully services, supporting mental health rehabilitation service innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and co-design.
As a Rehabilitation Support Worker, you will be an important part of this multidisciplinary team, supporting voluntary consumers during their inpatient stay. You will help deliver a diverse range of recovery‑focused rehabilitation activities, therapeutic programs and educational supports for consumers, their families and carers. Through these interactions, you will play a key role in helping individuals build confidence, develop practical life skills and progress toward their personal recovery goals.

Working alongside clinical staff, you will provide non‑clinical psychosocial support designed to help consumers transition safely back into the community. The unit’s rehabilitation programs are tailored to each person's needs and aspirations, ensuring that care remains compassionate, empowering and grounded in individual choice and autonomy.

The MMHRU also collaborates with inpatient units, community mental health services, non‑government organisations and broader support networks, giving you the opportunity to contribute to truly integrated and holistic mental health care.

About You:

In this role you will demonstrate empathy, patience and initiative in every interaction. Your strong time‑management skills and resourcefulness allow you to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

One of your strengths should be the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, enabling you to connect effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You work well independently while also contributing positively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will bring an understanding of psychiatric disability, the principles of recovery and the role of psychosocial support in helping consumers achieve their goals. You value collaboration with community service providers and take pride in supporting consumers to build independence and move forward in their recovery journey.

Apply now and join a passionate, forward‑thinking team where your work will make a genuine difference, helping to shape brighter futures within mental health rehabilitation.
