Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in the New York City Metropolitan Area with some work-from-home flexibility. The Regulatory Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing regulatory reports, and analyzing new regulations to determine their impact on the organization. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining accurate financial records, liaising with regulatory bodies, and working closely with other departments to ensure compliance and develop best practices.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and financial compliance
Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports
Proficiency in financial software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 10 years of experience in a clearing broker/dealer regulatory reporting role.
FINRA Series ++ required, FINRA Series 27 is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of Broker/Dealer financial regulatory rules, specifically hands on experience with the proper application and preparation of the 15c3-3 customer and PAB reserve calculations in a customer clearing environment.
Experience with Adenza/AXIOM reporting suite.
Experience with borrow/loan, margin, rehypothecation, Broker/Dealer Operations, etc. as they impact the customer reserve calculations.
