Registered Nurse, District Nurse Casual
Registered Nurse with a passion for community nursing.

About the Role
The District Nursing Service runs a daytime roster that includes some weekend shifts.
In this role you will work with local communities to promote health, prevent disease and maintain wellness, as well as work in partnership to assist and support families and whānau towards self-reliance in health.

We are a vibrant and friendly multidisciplinary team committed to providing a quality service to clients in the community.
Te Whatu Ora Nelson Marlborough is the main health provider for the Te Tau Ihu, the top of the south. Nearly 3,000 strong, we are Nelson's and Marlborough's largest employer supporting the health and wellbeing of over 150,000 citizens across the region.
The Wairau District Nursing team is a dynamic, supportive, and adaptable group that values collaboration and excellence in patient care. You will be welcomed with a comprehensive orientation programme and ongoing support from experienced clinicians with advanced expertise across the full scope of district nursing. Specialist guidance is readily available in continence management, wound care, and stoma therapy, providing excellent opportunities for learning, growth, and professional development.
Our main locations are Nelson and Wairau Hospitals, and the Richmond and Marlborough Health Hubs, but we are spread across the region and service all parts of the community. Our work can be challenging, but we are up for it. We have a great team and we work hard to make a difference.
About you
Clinical skills in wound care are preferred. You will be flexible and able to work in a variety of different settings including people's homes, clinics, schools, and community centres.
You will have NZNC registration, a current practising certificate and a full driver's licence. You will be a great team player who's passionate about community delivery and the health and wellbeing of our population. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and be committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and achieving equity.
If you are an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with broad knowledge and skills, and you have a passion for community nursing, this could be the position for you.
