Registered Nurse, Surgical outpatients Nelson Hospital
Support patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures
Permanent 0.7FTE (56 hours a fortnight)
Working Monday to Friday between 0800- 1800.

About the Role
We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join our surgical outpatient team supporting multiple services including gynaecology, orthopaedic, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, minor procedures and a preadmissions clinic.
This is a permanent position, working 56 hours a fortnight, rostered Monday to Friday between the hours of 0800-1800, supporting Registered nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Specialist Clinical Nurses, Registrars and Senior Medical Officers.

You will bring the following skills and experience:
Outpatient surgical experience (preferred)
A commitment to providing a quality service and being part of a high performing team
Versatility and flexibility
Current Registered Nurse registration and NZNC practising certificate
This position would suit a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has great assessment and time management skills, is confident in their practice, can work autonomously and can relate well to a wide variety of stakeholders including patients, families and our multidisciplinary teams.
Every day is different and our nurses enjoy the variety of work, the people they interact with, and the challenge of giving each patient the best customer experience, whilst ensuring that everything runs to schedule.
