Full job description
We are searching for an Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll provide ECMO support in an age appropriate manner for patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
Licensed Registered Nurse with the Texas Medical Board is required
2 years of neonatal or pediatric critical care experience required
Responsibilities:
Perform direct patient care by implementing, operating, and managing ECMO/VAD systems
Set up support systems according to case preferences and age appropriateness
Complete the pre-pump checklist prior to the start of the ECMO
Manage the ECMO/VAD circuit and diagnose complications and extracorporeal physiology
Ensure that the pump team’s supplies and equipment are available
Complete quality control and quality assurance for all analyzers
Serve as an educator and mentor
Keep abreast of new developments and technologies in critical care and ECMO
