Registered Nurse - Clinical Analytics Expert
Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Licensed RN to join our Data Discovery and Enrichment Team (DDE) as a Clinical Analytics Expert. In this role, you will support clinical decision support (CDS) product development, enhancing the user experience for essential tools like ClinicalKey at the point-of-care. Your contributions will be vital in collaborating with our Clinical Solutions and Education business units to provide clinical analytics support, foster growth, and inspire innovation.
Join a team that plays a key role in validating extracted medical information from extensive Elsevier databases and electronic health records, while engaging in information retrieval and clinical decision support content enrichment.
Qualifications:
• Licensed, board-certified RN with a master's degree or equivalent qualifications; advanced degrees such as a PhD are preferred.
• Experience in teaching with a strong interest in employing innovative learning modalities in nursing education across diverse domains.
• In-depth understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, health information technology, interprofessional collaboration, and familiarity with national and international healthcare education standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model in nursing education and NCLEX® exam updates.
• Previous experience designing and facilitating Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) for nursing students in both undergraduate and advanced pathways.
• Awareness of the impact of Generative AI tools for content creation and faculty/student support.
• Strong team-building skills to recruit and retain subject matter experts while motivating the team towards continuous improvement.
• Ability to partner effectively with a broad network of content vendors and contract SMEs to enhance digital learning content.
• Familiarity with medical vocabularies like SNOMED CT and ICD-10, as well as knowledge in ontology modeling is advantageous.
• High competency in computer skills, particularly within a Microsoft Windows environment, and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint to manage electronic content effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize clinical knowledge to extract and integrate data within a healthcare setting.
• Adapt ontologies for efficient information extraction, data modeling, and analytics, ensuring top-notch automated indexing for search and discovery.
• Leverage domain expertise and collaborate with clinical experts to verify the clinical precision of content, guaranteeing it aligns with the latest evidence and performance standards.
• Create domain-specific training datasets for machine learning models deployed in Point-of-care products.
• Apply predictive analytics and insights derived from analyzing large healthcare datasets.

The base pay range for this position typically falls between $78,800 - $131,300, with adjustments based on geographic location. Specific rates apply in Maryland, New York, New York City, Rochester, NY, and New Jersey.
