About us

Humankind are partnering with Registered Master Builders to recruit a Regional Branch & Events Manager for the Midlands Region - Taupo, Rotorua through to Whakatane and the Bay of Plenty. This is a broad, people-focused role that combines event delivery, stakeholder management, and regional ownership.
Supporting a well-established, purpose-led organisation, this role sits at the heart of member engagement across the region - bringing people together through events and ensuring a high standard of delivery across multiple branches.
The Opportunity
This is a highly autonomous role with responsibility for delivering a wide range of events and supporting the overall performance of the Midlands region.
You will manage a mix of nationally driven programmes (including House of the Year and Apprentice of the Year), regional conferences, and local networking and member events. Alongside this, you’ll work closely with branch presidents, executive committees, and members to strengthen engagement and ensure the branch operates effectively.
With the support of a national framework and a regional admin resource, you’ll take ownership of planning, delivery, and relationship management across your region.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver a calendar of local, regional, and national events to a consistently high standard
Manage relationships with branch presidents, executive committees, and members across the region
Coordinate and run flagship programmes including House of the Year and Apprentice of the Year
Support member engagement, branch communications, and day-to-day regional activity
Plan and execute events end-to-end, including logistics, budgets, and coordination
Work within national event frameworks while tailoring delivery to your region
Ensure the effective operation of the region alongside a part-time admin support
Key requirements include:
Proven experience delivering events end-to-end
Strong organisational and project management capability
Experience working with multiple stakeholders, ideally in a regional or membership-based environment
Confidence managing competing priorities and working autonomously
Ability to balance relationship-building with delivery and execution
In addition, you will bring:
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Resilience and confidence in navigating different personalities and expectations
The ability to prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail
A hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved where needed
What you need to know:
This is a 6 month fixed term opportunity from August 2026 - February 2027.
Regular travel across the region is required
Some evening and occasional weekend work will be necessary due to events
You’ll be supported by a regional admin resource and a national team

What's on Offer:

Competitive salary package
A varied and autonomous role combining events, relationships, and regional ownership
The opportunity to be part of a recognised national brand with strong industry ties
A supportive, purpose-led organisation focused on making a real impact across New Zealand
Apply Now:
If you enjoy delivering events, building relationships, and working with a high level of autonomy, this is a great opportunity to step into a regionally focused role with real ownership.
