Job Description
Our client, a food manufacturing/processing plant in Gilroy California is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to join their team. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be part of the Production and Safety Teams, supporting Sales and Production Operations. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial refrigeration equipment (ammonia & freon), EPA 608 & CIRO certification, and great attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Refrigeration Mechanic
Location: Gilroy, California
Pay Range: $25.00 - $32.00/hr. (D.O.E.)
What’s the Job?
• Troubleshooting and repair of industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly inspections.
• Complete regular preventative maintenance services on evaporators, condensers, valves, electrical cabinets, safety resources and other related equipment.
• Respond quickly and efficiently to reported breakdowns
• Maintain regular logs of equipment maintenance, repairs and inspections.
What’s Needed?
• High School Diploma and good command of the English language, written and spoken.
• Previous experience with hand tools, including wrenches, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems, preferably in a food production environment.
• RETA or CIRO Certification, EPA608 Certification.
• Basic digital communications literacy (smartphones, email, texting).
