Position Summary
We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Recruitment & HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team on a part-time basis.
This role is ideal for someone early in their Human Resources career who is looking to gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee administration, compliance tracking, and HR operations within a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.
The primary focus of this role is recruitment coordination and administrative support. Working closely with the HR Manager, operational leaders, staffing agencies, and candidates, this position will play a key role in supporting recruitment efforts, onboarding activities, employee administration, and HR processes across multiple departments and terminals.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Candidate Coordination
Review incoming applications and resumes
Conduct initial phone and virtual candidate screenings
Coordinate interviews with managers, supervisors, and candidates
Maintain recruitment trackers and candidate communication
Post and maintain job advertisements on recruitment platforms
Assist with candidate sourcing initiatives and recruitment campaigns
Coordinate with staffing agencies regarding active hiring requirements
Support seasonal and peak hiring activities
Onboarding & Employee Administration
Prepare onboarding packages and employment documentation
Follow up on onboarding requirements through ADP Workforce Now
Track onboarding completion and required employee documentation
Maintain employee files and HR records
Assist with employee information updates and document management
Training & Compliance Support
Track completion of mandatory employee training
Monitor policy acknowledgements and compliance documentation
Support Citation Canada training administration
Maintain training records and compliance trackers
General HR Support
Schedule interviews, meetings, and HR appointments
Assist with HR reporting and administrative projects
Support preparation of HR correspondence and forms
Assist with maintaining organized HR systems and processes
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Recent graduates and early-career HR professionals are encouraged to apply
Previous recruitment, administrative, customer service, or HR experience considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Experience with ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset
