Reporting directly to the Recreation Facilities Coordinators, the incumbent will play a key role within the NAIT Athletics and Recreation team. This position is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of services that enhance the overall experience of the NAIT community within our recreation facilities.
The successful candidate will actively supervise recreational spaces to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment. They will also provide front-line customer service to students, staff, and community members, assisting with inquiries, facility access, and program support. Collaboration with other team members is essential to maintaining the high standards of service and engagement expected within NAIT’s recreation and athletics facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer service
Active supervision of the recreation facilities (fitness centre, studio, SEC and gymnasium).
Compliance with opening/closing policies
Skills Abilities:
Strong Communication Skills
Strong Customer service skills
Strong Interpersonal Skills
Ability to lift 25kgs
Qualifications:
Completion of grade 12 or equivalent combination of education and experience
CPR Level C AED Certifications
CSEP- CPT or AFLCA would be an asset
Mental Health First Aid Preferred
Safe Spaces or EDI training asset
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $16.34 - $21.69 per hour, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation accrual. (Classification –Customer Service Representative I).
This casual opportunity is covered by the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Collective Agreement.
