Job Overview
We are seeking a Receptionist/Optometric Assistant to join our new clinic. In this role, you will play an integral part in providing quality patient care and supporting the daily operations within the clinic. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.
Duties
Perform preliminary tests and gather patient history.
Manage front desk responsibilities, including making/answering phone calls, scheduling appointments.
Completing accurate patient electronic medical records (EMR) using VisualEyes.
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the office and examination areas.
Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall patient experience.
Handle billing, insurance claims, and payments.
Requirements
Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
Previous experience in optical or a medical office setting is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
Some experience in dispensing (assisting in frame/lens selection, adjust and fit eyewear, etc) is advantageous.
Willingness to learn.
