Job Description
This Receptionist and Administrative Assistant position supports the mission of California State University by providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to the accessibility services team. Key responsibilities include:
Oversight of front desk reception duties, including walk-ins, phone calls, e-mails, and other forms of communication
Training and oversight of student assistants providing relief coverage at the front office
Coordination with Access Coordinators, the ASL/CART Coordinator, and Director regarding scheduling and communication needs
Providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff
Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of staff and external constituencies. They will also be proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle. Furthermore, they must have a thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality related to department and student records according to applicable laws and regulations.
