Position Summary:
This warehouse position is responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, product labeling, palletizing product as it is selected to build kitchen work orders, and delivering product to the kitchen in a safe and efficient manner.
This role requires flexibility in schedule times, which may vary between 6:00am and 7:00am, and shifts will end between 2:00pm and 3:00pm, ensuring all products are accurately selected, stored correctly, and/or delivered to the kitchen.
At times, overtime hours, or working a weekend day, or a holiday, may be required to successfully fulfill warehouse deliverables.
This role requires working in areas with temperature and humidity fluctuations, including working outside in local weather, as well as regularly working in refrigeration and or freezer conditions to store inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
Safely operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product pallets.
Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, WMS unit, and personal protective equipment.
Perform pre and post-trip inspections, and safely operate all mechanical equipment.
Hand select orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer.
Create and print labels; correctly place labels on product.
Operate Warehouse Waste Management System.
Stack product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures.
Pack Stack cooked to chill products on pallets, correctly placed ID labels on product to be staged in designated locations.
Stage pallets for storage or distribution to kitchen locations.
Shrink-wrap product on loading dock.
Cleans within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, Freezer and the Kitchen.
Follow Meals on Wheels' policies and work procedures at all times, and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
Diligently follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with Company food safety policies and the Department of Aging and Adult Services, and Public Health Department.
Attend all required company meetings.
Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age.
Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English, as it relates to this job and the safety regulations.
Due to some required driving, a valid drivers license is required.
Preferred Requirements:
At least 6 months warehouse experience.
At least 6 months experience safely operating an electric pallet jack and forklift as a certified driver.
Previous experience in a food service warehouse environment.

The position is non-exempt, and currently scheduled as a full-time role, Monday through Friday; occasionally scheduled Saturday or Sunday, or with overtime.
