Job Description

The Lab Technician oversees daily laboratory activities while performing testing, ensuring GMP compliance, and supporting cross-functional operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and oversee product testing using wet chemistry and analytical equipment (FTIR, UV/Vis, TLC).
Review and approve master manufacturing records and ensure documentation accuracy.
Lead and mentor lab technicians, providing training on methods, equipment, and GMP standards.
Assign, monitor, and balance daily laboratory workload to meet timelines and priorities.
Ensure GMP compliance in all laboratory activities; escalate non-compliance and support corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Act as primary point of contact for Quality Manager and Operations for lab-related issues.
Coordinate and prepare for regulatory and third-party audits/inspections.
Maintain and review quality records, test results, and metrics for accuracy and completeness.
Enter and verify batch tickets in the ERP system.
Oversee vendor requests for COAs, specification sheets, and allergen documentation.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory, ensuring equipment is calibrated and ready for use.
Provide technical troubleshooting and process improvement recommendations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on experience with UV/Vis, FTNIR, and TLC; microbiology experience.
Strong working knowledge of GMPs and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
Prior leadership experience or demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and guide team members.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
Effective communicator across teams and management levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma/GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field preferred.
3+ years of laboratory or quality experience.
Additional Information

Schedule: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
