The Role Responsibilities
Job Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated leader for the role of Quality Assurance Chapter Area Lead. This role will report into the Global Head of Digital Solutions, Human Assisted Channels and Proximity Technology.
Under the Agile framework, the Quality Assurance Chapter Area Lead will be accountable for the testing and quality assurance capability across the Digital Solutions, Human Assisted Channels and Proximity domain which accounts for many of the bank’s most critical applications.
We are looking for a strong individual that has proven experience in quality assurance and test automation who can uplift testing capability, ensure compliance to bank standards and demonstrate success through rigorous quality assurance.
On the soft-skills side, we are looking for the ability to moderate tone and technical depth based on audience and strong ability to pick-up on non-verbal communication.
On the personal attributes side, we are looking for an individual who is passionate about technology and has the drive and capability to absorb and retain vast amounts of deep technical information continuously. Someone that can train, influence, deliver outstanding quality assurance outcomes.
• Understanding of TTO and bank policies and ability to team drive compliance.
• Understanding and advocate for the TTO strategy and objectives.
Business
• Provide independent assurance for testing to ensure that standards are met and risks associated to lack of testing and poor application quality are mitigated.
• Ensures adherence to Bank and information systems policies and procedures, security measures, and audit standards.
• Establish, continuously refine and execute upon platform test strategies and plans.
• Manage quality assurance related audit compliance and liaise with auditors.
• Partner with Technology Heads to automate testing for all applications.
• Provide test process training and support to team members.
• Develop and optimise operational budgets.
• Lead and inspire team and stakeholders.
People and Talent
• Own and contribute to people agenda workstreams including driving diversity and inclusion, mentoring program and other key engagement activities.
• Establish, continuously refine and execute upon people, talent and location strategy.
• Build a high performing team who will be deploy in squads across multiple domains.
• Ensures adherence to Bank and information systems policies and procedures, security measures, and audit standards.
• Risk and audit management.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead the Channel Services, Switching and Debit Cards Technology team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities
• Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in Channel Services, Switching and Debit Cards team; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats).
Our Ideal Candidate
• 10 years of proven IT leadership and software delivery and business experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience with adopting and executing technical standards, process and governance across a broad project portfolio.
• Domain knowledge in quality assurance and test automation.
• Extensive experience agile framework and transformation.
• Ability to lead and manage testing team.
