Financial Analyst

Location – Mississauga, ON
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team on a contract to assist with: cost estimating for purchase order preparation, analysis of spending, Expats tax reconciliation and other financial analysis. This role reports to the Controller of CNEA and involves working closely with the CNEA Finance Team.
Your role within the team:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Cost estimating for purchase order preparation.
Review & analyze purchase order spending as required.
Prepare and update cost estimating workbooks as needed.
Support purchase order preparation and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Financial review of invoices and support Supplier invoice processing and payments with centralized Accounts Payable processing centre.
Review and validation of Expat tax reconciliation and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Purchase order analysis and PO revisions for true-up of Expat taxes and processing of true-up invoices.
Ensure application of internal controls, finance policies and procedures, accounting standards and Levels of Authority.
Maintain operational integrity by keeping financial information confidential.
Develop and maintain value added relationships with relevant parties (Clients, Vendors, Partners, and other departments).
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
Support the Finance Team as required.

The ideal candidate:
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in accounting / finance preferably in a project environment.
Professional accounting designation, Bachelor’s degree, Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent work experience.
Advanced skills using complete Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams etc.).
Prior Oracle, or major ERP systems experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Familiarity with international taxation an advantage.
Must be self-directed and work with minimum supervision.
Must be able to interact with various levels of management.
Work type – 6 to 8 months (short term).
