Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator
Job Description
HUBER+SUHNER is looking for a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join our Supply Chain & Logistics team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, problem‑solving and working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Location: Frenchs Forest, NSW (onsite parking available)
About the role
This is a varied and hands‑on role supporting both purchasing coordination and inventory control, aligned with HUBER+SUHNER’s global standards and processes.
You’ll be a key link between suppliers, production, sales and warehouse functions, ensuring purchasing activities, inventory accuracy and material quality are consistently maintained.
What you’ll be doing
Purchasing Coordination
Raise purchase orders with intercompany and external suppliers
Liaise with suppliers to manage lead times and meet customer requirements
Maintain accurate delivery dates and purchasing data in SAP
Work closely with sales and production teams to ensure accurate customer information
Support the Procurement Manager with supplier audits
Manage office consumables
Inventory Coordination
Provide administration support for inventory receipting and management
Monitor and manage materials with expiration dates and batch controls
Support daily cycle counts and annual stocktakes
Conduct incoming material quality inspections
Maintain warehouse and office consumable levels
Support continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing and supply chain
General Responsibilities
Maintain safety stock levels and reorder point logic
Support internal and external audits
Actively support health, safety and compliance activities
Take on other tasks as needed to support the team
What you’ll bring
Strong planning, time management and coordination skills with high attention to detail
Clear and confident communication skills, able to work across internal teams and external suppliers
A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
Resilience and positivity in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment
Strong written and verbal English skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (S/4HANA) will be highly regarded
