Musts:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of three years of experience working in public accounting
• Complex tax experience (this is someone who works in public accounting for people with assets in multiple states or own businesses)
• Auditing or forensic accounting experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
Nice to have:
• CPA
Day to Day:
• Analyze client financial records to prepare tax returns, create budget reports, and conduct audits. Ensure records comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Prepare business and individual tax returns.
• Conduct forensic accounting examinations
• Advise clients on financial management for individual and business finances. Typical C&D client owns multiple businesses
• Manage financial information, including reviewing accounts to identify discrepancies
• Comply with strict deadlines and bill clients accordingly
