PSV Mechanic/Technician

An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a PSV Engineer/Mechanic (Afternoon Shift) reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles here at our Heckmondwike Depot.

This Will Involve
• Shifts are 5/7 and will involve afternoon shifts, these will be discussed at interview.
• £16.27 per hour (over time available at enhanced rate)
• Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
• Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
• MOT preparation
• Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)

Requirements
• Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
• Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
• Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
• A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
• Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
