Job Overview
Casper Mobility is seeking a skilled and innovative Propulsion Engineer to join our pioneering engineering team as part of the Air Casper division. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of propulsion systems for our electric aerial vehicles. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical and aerospace engineering principles, along with proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and hands-on prototyping.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop propulsion systems, including schematics and detailed drawings using CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate propulsion systems into larger mechanical assemblies
Simulate airflow, thrust output, heat dispersion, and mechanical load using software like ANSYS or MATLAB
Fabricate and test prototypes using CNC machinery, composite materials, and other fabrication techniques
Ensure propulsion systems meet safety, reliability, and performance standards under Transport Canada guidelines
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Experience with electric or hybrid propulsion systems
Proficiency in CAD, CFD, and FEA tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink)
Familiarity with battery integration, power electronics, and thrust control systems
Strong analytical and cross-functional communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
