Position Overview
The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the development and delivery of luxury hospitality projects, ensuring that Empyreal Club and Crowne Plaza Hotel Jaipur are executed to international luxury and brand standards, within approved timelines and budgets. The role requires deep expertise in luxury hotel development, stakeholder management, and large-scale project governance.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Governance
• Provide overall leadership and accountability for luxury hospitality project delivery
• Define project execution strategies, governance frameworks, and performance benchmarks
• Report directly to promoters / senior management and advise on project risks and mitigation
Project Planning & Delivery
• Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle from design development through construction to handover
• Approve master schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and execution methodologies
• Ensure timely delivery aligned with operator and brand commitments
Design, Brand & Consultant Coordination
• Lead coordination with hotel operators, brand representatives, architects, interior designers, and technical consultants
• Ensure full compliance with IHG / international hospitality brand standards
• Approve design intent, value engineering initiatives, and material selections while preserving luxury positioning
Construction, Quality & Safety Oversight
• Direct contractors and project teams to maintain highest standards of construction quality and safety
• Monitor critical milestones, resolve escalated technical issues, and ensure compliance with statutory norms
• Conduct regular executive-level project reviews and site audits
Commercial, Contracts & Cost Control
• Oversee tendering, contract finalization, procurement strategy, and vendor appointments
• Monitor cost controls, cash flow, variations, and claims management
• Ensure optimal balance between cost efficiency and luxury execution
Stakeholder & Investor Management
• Act as the primary interface with hotel brands, investors, consultants, and senior leadership
• Present project progress, financial status, and risk assessments to key stakeholders
• Maintain alignment between developer objectives and operator expectations
Pre-opening & Operational Readiness
• Provide leadership support during testing, commissioning, snag resolution, and approvals
• Ensure seamless transition from project delivery to hotel operations and management teams
Candidate Profile
Experience
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or premium hospitality developments
• Proven leadership in delivering 5-star or international brand hotel projects
• Prior role as Project Director / Project Head / Senior Project Manager preferred
Technical Expertise
• Strong understanding of hotel planning, MEP systems, luxury interiors, FF&E, OS&E, and back-of-house operations
• Expertise in contracts, procurement, scheduling, and cost management for hospitality projects
• Experience handling brand audits, approvals, and operator coordination
Leadership & Skills
• Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage complex, high-value projects under tight timelines
Education
• Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction Management
• PMP / equivalent certification preferred
