The Role:
This key role will play a significant part in delivering our growth strategy by leading project delivery portfolio activities across our business. You'll be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing our Project Management and Estimating teams to ensure the successful delivery of client projects and strategic business initiatives
You deliver on your own projects, as well as provide project governance and escalation disciplines across multiple projects and tenders, ensuring delivery meets agreed scope, schedule, budget, quality and HSE requirements. Working closely with clients, stakeholders and internal teams to strengthen relationships and drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices.
In addition, you'll:
Support business development activities and identify growth opportunities
Foster and grow strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
Manage tendering, estimating and bid review processes
Monitor project performance, budgets, forecasting and reporting
Manage project risks and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented
Support resource planning to maximise utilisation and project performance
Drive project quality, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives
Oversee contracted O&M Clean steam and Hydrogen Plant Management activities and client deliverables
Contribute to management reporting and strategic planning activities
About You:
As an experienced project delivery professional, you will have a proven track record leading complex industrial, power generation, infrastructure or construction projects from concept through to completion. You will have also managed a project management and tendering team and driven and embedded best practice. You'll be a strong relationship builder, commercially astute, and passionate about developing people and delivering successful outcomes.
You'll also bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Management
Experience in delivering geothermal, hydro, power generation or heavy industrial projects from detailed multi dollar tenders through to project delivery
Strong history of exceptional project management and commercial acumen, with a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget
Well-developed portfolio management and experience managing a team managing a collection of projects
Strong prioritisation, resource allocation experience across competing projects, with strategic project selection, and portfolio risk management experience
Experience in governance design and establishing and implementing robust frameworks that others work within, covering PMO design and management, stage-gate processes, quality assurance, and project assurance reviews
Experience managing multiple stakeholders, clients and contractors across a broad range of project service requirements
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
Strong understanding of risk management, quality systems and compliance requirements
