Job Description
Position: Assistant, Associate, Professor Fashion & Textile Design
Location: Meerut
Employment Type: Full-time
Qualifications Required:
• MFD, PhD in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
• UGC NET or equivalent qualification preferred.
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
We are looking for an accomplished professional with expertise in:
Textile Design:
• Surface design techniques such as printing, embroidery, dyeing, and weaving.
• Knowledge of sustainable and innovative textile development.
• Expertise in fabric construction and material properties.
Fashion Design:
• Garment design, pattern-making, and draping techniques.
• Fashion illustration and digital design tools like Adobe Illustrator and CLO 3D.
• Knowledge of global fashion trends, styling, and branding.
• Expertise in eco-friendly fashion and textile practices.
• Advanced skills in CAD software such as CorelDRAW, Photoshop, and other design tools.
• Strong understanding of the textile and fashion industry, market dynamics, and production processes.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Textile and Fashion Design.
• Develop and deliver practical workshops on textile techniques and fashion design.
• Mentor students in designing collections, research projects, and portfolio development.
• Update curricula to align with industry standards and emerging trends.
• Foster collaboration with industry professionals for internships, projects, and exhibitions.
• Conduct academic research and contribute to publications in the fields of textile and fashion design.
• Organize and participate in fashion shows, exhibitions, and other academic and cultural events.
• Provide academic guidance and support to students in their career planning.
