Professional Cook Position

Job description
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Gallagher's Butchers, Bakery and Deli. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, assisting in the planning and development of menus, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Compensation: £11.50 per hour, part-time, up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
This role requires a skilled Cook who can work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and quality standards
• Assisting in the planning and development of menus
• Ensuring food safety guidelines are followed in food preparation and storage
• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to provide excellent service
• Monitoring food supplies and ingredients levels

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess previous experience working in a restaurant or similar setting, proficiency in culinary techniques and food preparation, and knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are also required. Read more
