Role/ Job Title: Product Manager-Loan Against Property
Function/ Department: Loan Against Property
Job Purpose
The role entails scaling up the LAP, Business loan and SME loans business for the bank by developing compelling value propositions to expand the existing products, channels, segments and customer base by delivering banking needs to the customers in the most cost efficient and technology effective manner. It also entails establishing a robust interface with key dealers, strategic partners and Brands and working closely with them to boost volume of business across geographies.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead the LAP business to expand volume of business and profitability of products and portfolio.
• It includes building up teams, systems, process and culture amenable to the scale and consistency of delivery. Role will closely collaborate with Retail Assets team - Business Heads, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing & Transformation, Policies team, Operations and Collections teams and Technology teams for the same.
• The role has a P&L responsibility for the Loan Against Property business contributing to the larger organizational objectives of the bank.
• This role encapsulates the responsibility of owning the customer journey and experience and charting strategic as well as tactical plans to ensure smooth implementation of organizational strategy and objectives.
• Guide distribution of LAP products and portfolio mix ensuring volume scale-up as per the defined targets.
• Design best-in class products for the LAP business to ensure IDFC becomes the bank of choice for customers.
• Partner with the Systems and Training team to ensure adherence to compliance and company guidelines.
• Build and nurture strategic partnerships across key dealers, manufacturers, Brands, channel/product partners etc. to increase the penetration of entire portfolio.
• Collaborate with the Technology team to drive system efficiencies and process improvements.
• Partner with the Digital team to develop intuitive digital interface for ease of application and approval for DSAs and third-party vendors.
• Improve the performance & quality of portfolio through regular monitoring and providing recommendations for course correction to the Product and Sales teams.
• Work with business analytics team to identify potential for LAP business.
• Own the Dealer relations and Brand relations exercise and chart standardized process to ensure constructive relationships.
• Own the negotiations and finalization of Digital partnerships and tie-ups to expand network and volume of business.
Education Qualification
Graduation: Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology / Management/ Computers/Science.
Post-graduation: MBA.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience
