Job Description:
We are looking to hire an experienced Product Field engineer to provide an extension of engineering services to our customers, and work alongside with the product and sales teams. As a Product Field engineer, you will be required to act as the liaison between us and our customers, your primary focus is to provide your expertise knowledge and technical support & training within the company and customers. In addition, a Field Engineer will develop and provide fluid handling solutions to specific customer needs and specifications through project support or on-site troubleshooting as part of evaluation and advisory services. Developing and maintaining an extensive knowledge of our product and services, growing awareness of customer applications, and the ability to effectively communicate and train others, are essential to success in this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and software systems.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills to engineering, sales, client audiences.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy for our customers and the ability to manage and guide them towards existing product capabilities.
SaaS field engineer experience to mid-sized and enterprise companies.
Responsibilities:
Be a field engineering shared resource.
Collaborate and provide field support for technical inquiries related to the product.
Interface with client success team, to provide technical support as needed, including layer 1 support to debug, resolve production issues.
Continuously improve Pi product and knowledge so as to provide excellence in technical support and training.
Preferred Skill Sets:
5 or more years of technical experience in engineering processes is preferred.
2 or more years of experience operating and troubleshooting cloud environments such as AWS, etc.
Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through SaaS applications.
Experience operating and troubleshooting large scale systems such as Kubernetes, Cassandra, Elastic Search, etc.
Experience with end to end application monitoring, tracing and alerting using tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
Experience with big data technologies such as AWS EMR, Hadoop, Spark, Azkaban etc.
5 or more years of experience training, both internal and external customers, is preferred.
Good understanding of distributed computing environments and methodologies
