Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and optimize plant process performance to ensure safe and efficient operations.
· Prepare and review process engineering documents such as PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing, and operating procedures.
· Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and plant startup/shutdown activities.
· Perform process simulations and evaluate process improvements for productivity and energy efficiency.
· Coordinate with production, instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and maintenance teams for smooth plant operation.
· Ensure compliance with process safety standards, HSE guidelines, and quality requirements.
· Analyze operational data and identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
· Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for operational issues.
· Assist in vendor discussions, technical evaluations, and project execution activities.
· Maintain proper engineering documentation and reports.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related discipline.
· 1-2 years of relevant experience in process engineering in chemical industries/ Specialty Chemicals
· Good understanding of process calculations, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer principles.
· Knowledge of process equipment such as pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, separators, and utilities.
· Familiarity with process safety standards and industrial best practices.
· Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software/tools.
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in commissioning or pilot plant operations.
· Knowledge of process automation and instrumentation coordination.
· Exposure to Chlorine, H2O2, hydrogen or advanced material industries will be an added advantage.
· Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
