Job Summary
The Medicine Chest is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Per-Diem Pharmacist to join our rapidly expanding pharmacy. At The Medicine Chest, we are looking for a per-diem/part-time pharmacist with a background with experience in various settings including acute care and long-term care (LTC) pharmacy. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. The PRN Pharmacist will also work with various healthcare professionals to optimize our patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, ensuring appropriate medication therapy management.
Utilize Framework software other pharmacy software systems for accurate record-keeping and medication dispensing.
Assist with management of inventory to ensure the availability of medications and supplies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop medical management plans for patients.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Stay updated on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and current pharmacy practices.
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
Pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
Experience in LTC pharmacy, closed door or retain settings is highly desirable.
Proficiency in pharmacy software applications and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and Framework.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service delivery.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
