Responsibilities
The workload is anticipated to include a mix of clinic and call time, dependent on needs of department and patient care
While hours are not guaranteed, we'd hope for a CNM available for at least 2 shifts per month
Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
Consultation with other healthcare providers;
Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes
Advanced Practice Providers may also participate in research, utilize evidence-based practice to improve quality patient care, protocol development, care process model development, and best practice standards for assigned patient population throughout our organization

Opportunity for a Certified Nurse Midwife to join our established practice at Intermountain Layton Parkway Women’s Health, located within Layton Hospital. We are an established team of CNMs and physicians, providing full scope women's health care.

This is a PRN, or as-needed opportunity. The workload is anticipated to include a mix of clinic and call time, dependent on needs of department and patient care. While hours are not guaranteed, we'd hope for a CNM available for at least 2 shifts per month.

2+ years of prior full scope midwifery is highly preferred.

Job Essentials

Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are accountable for the provision of patient care at the top of licensure, within their scope of practice. APP’s are licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as:
• Maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease;
• Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, and consultation;
• Procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems;
• Education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others;
• Prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan;
• Consultation with other healthcare providers;
• Appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care;
• Continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state license as a Certified Nurse Midwife
