Job Description

Review of key process engineering deliverables as part of a wider multidiscipline team, these include:

Process Descriptions,
Basis of Design,
Process Flow Diagrams,
Process & Instrumentation Diagrams,
Process & Instrument Data Sheets & Schedules,
Underpinning Design Calculations,
Material and Enthalpy Balances,
Design Justification Reports.
Leading all aspects of process design including:

Key deliverables listed above, and their delegation as required,
Ensuring that the process design satisfies the project requirements and overall scope,
Ensuring that the process design complies with health and safety standards by utilising a Safety in Design approach,
Project programme development,
Managing project workload amongst the Process Team,
Liaising with other engineering disciplines to ensure a fully integrated multidisciplinary design,
Communication of design development in project meetings and reporting documentation.
Additional

Development of the Process Team via training, guidance and reviewing of work.
Responsible as a ‘Designer’ under the CDM 2015 regulations.
Supporting Safety Case development via engineering substantiation.
Pragmatic approach to problem solving and ability to apply ‘Engineering Fit for Purpose Judgement’ where appropriate.
Support the Process Team growth through identifying work opportunities and assisting with recruitment activities.
Manage Contractors and build a working relationship with Delivery Partners.
Staying abreast of technical and commercial developments in the nuclear industry.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Chartered Member with the IChemE or equivalent.
At least 10 years of experience working as a Process Engineer or equivalent in aspects of design in the nuclear industry.
Demonstratable experience of the following:
Awareness and implementation of Health and Safety processes, regulations and standards,
Successfully leading the delivery of process engineering work packages,
Leading a team,
Mentoring of other Process Engineers,
Supporting bids,
Developing a delivery schedule,
Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Working knowledge of different forms of contract, in particular NEC.
Able to meet the requirements for security clearance in the UK.
Full UK driving license.
