Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Principal for our residential school. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience as a Principal or 3-5 years of experience as a Principal with an Indian Air Force background. To oversee the upgraded teaching methodologies, blended with effective use of technology is the key success to the role. His/ Her professional career to date shows exemplary commitment to boarding education. Responsibilities: 1. Provide overall leadership and direction for the school, including academic programs, student affairs, and staff management. 2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the smooth functioning of the school. 3. Maintain a safe and supportive environment: The principal should create a safe and supportive environment for students, faculty, and staff. This includes developing and enforcing policies that promote safety, health, and wellness. 4. Oversee admissions and enrolment: The principal should oversee the admissions process to ensure that it is fair, transparent, and aligned with the school's mission and values. This includes developing and implementing effective marketing and recruitment strategies. 5. Ensure that the school complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards. 6. Proven ability to easily assimilate new ideas, concepts, methods and technologies of the 21st century. 7. Planning, organizing and monitoring curricular and co-curricular activities for the personality development of students. 8. Creation of teacher training on experiential learning and multi-disciplinary teaching modern methods, and to conduct sessions for parents and teachers. Be responsible for the management, training and development of residential and non-residential staff, ensuring that all staff have a clear understanding of their responsibilities to provide care for their students. +. Lead and manage the day to day operations of the boarding school to ensure healthy and safe stay environment for the students. 10. To ensure the Indian compliance of Legal acts for the protection of students and staff in the residential schools. An all in one master trainer in Prevention of Child Abuse and expertise in integrating technology in education. 11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. Desired Candidate Profile: Qualification and Education 1. Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess a post-graduate degree in M.A./M.SC. & M.ED/B.ED. Candidates having Ph.D. would be an added advantage. 2. Teaching Experience: The candidate should have at least 15 years of teaching experience in a recognized school, including at least 5 years of administrative experience as a Vice-Principal or Head of Department. 3. Administrative Experience: The candidate should have experience in managing academic, administrative, and financial affairs of the school, including managing staff, students, and parents 4. Leadership Skills: The candidate should have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage the school community, including staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders 5. Communication Skills: The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and the local language, to effectively communicate with stakeholders. 6. Technical Skills: The candidate should possess basic computer skills and be familiar with school management software and technology tools to manage school operations effectively. In addition, the Principal of Residential Schools will demonstrate exemplary: - Evidence of relevant and challenging continuing professional development. - Professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children. - Ability to act as an effective and compelling ambassador of the children. - Knowledge of the rapidly changing sector nationally. -A flexible approach and a willingness to get involved wherever needed. - A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
