Job Summary:
Amity International School is seeking a dynamic, visionary, and experienced Principal to lead and manage the academic and administrative functions of the school. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished educator with proven leadership experience in reputed CBSE and CISCE institutions and will play a pivotal role in sustaining the academic excellence, operational efficiency, and student-centered ethos of Amity.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic & Operational Leadership
- Drive academic excellence by fostering a strong learning environment and high performance expectations for students and faculty.
- Lead curriculum planning and execution in line with CBSE/CISCE guidelines and Amity’s academic standards.
- Coordinate with curriculum experts and educational departments to implement latest pedagogical practices.
- Ensure all statutory and board-related compliance, documentation, and timely liaison with CBSE/CISCE and state education bodies.
- Organize academic programs, co-curricular activities, inter-school competitions, and student development initiatives.
School Operations & P&L Management
- Lead and manage the overall school operations ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and profitability.
- Prepare and monitor school budgets, oversee expenses, and ensure cost optimization without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with admissions, marketing, and outreach teams to ensure enrollment targets and parent engagement.
- Handle vendor management, facilities oversight, and ensure the campus is safe, clean, and well-maintained.
People & HR Management
- Lead, motivate, and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support HR in recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and retention strategies.
- Ensure adherence to HR policies and manage employee performance, grievances, and team development.
- Conduct regular training, workshops, and induction programs to build faculty capabilities.
Admissions & Parent Relations
- Champion the school's values and USPs during parent interactions, orientations, and admission events.
- Work closely with the Relationship Cell and admissions team to achieve yearly enrollment goals.
- Address parent queries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and empathetic manner to ensure high parent satisfaction.
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, alumni, regulatory authorities, and the broader school community.
- Represent the school in conferences, public events, and education forums to elevate its brand and reputation.
Required Qualifications &
Experience:
Education:
- Postgraduate Degree in any discipline (preferably Education or related)
- B.Ed. (mandatory)
- M.Ed. (preferred)
Experience:
- 10–15 years in academic roles in reputed CBSE/CISCE schools
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Principal or Vice Principal
- Experience managing school P&L, academic planning, staff supervision, and compliance
