Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Principal Architect – Civil role based in Coimbatore. The Principal Architect – Civil will lead the planning, conceptualization, and architectural design of residential and commercial projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, sustainability goals, and client expectations. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing design drawings, coordinating structural and MEP integration, and guiding the development of detailed construction documents. The role involves overseeing project execution from design to completion, working closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and vendors to ensure quality, cost, and timeline adherence. The Principal Architect – Civil will conduct site visits, resolve design and construction issues, review material specifications, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior design team members.
Qualifications
• Strong professional expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design, with a portfolio of residential and commercial projects.
• Proven experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholder communication.
• Ability to oversee Integration of structural, MEP, and interior design inputs into cohesive and buildable solutions.
• Familiarity with relevant Software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM platforms); exposure to Software Development or custom tool workflows is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering (or a closely related field); professional licensure/registration is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of local building codes, bylaws, and approval processes in Tamil Nadu and Coimbatore region.
• Excellent spatial planning, technical detailing, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to quality and safety.
• Effective communication, team leadership, and mentoring abilities, with capacity to collaborate on-site with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in sustainable design, green building practices, and value engineering will be considered an added advantage.
