With a commitment to flexibility, growth, and diversity, Siemens offers you the perfect platform to thrive and make a real impact.

Who We Are

At Siemens, we create technology that transforms the everyday, for everyone. Australia may contribute around 1% of global emissions, but we know that every action matters. That’s why we empower our customers to do more with less: using less energy, reducing emissions, and building industries that shape a cleaner, smarter, and fairer future.

By combining the real and digital worlds, we help our customers transform their industries and markets — and in turn, make a positive impact on the everyday lives of billions of people. Innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity are at the heart of what we do.

Why You’ll Love Being Part of Our Team

Family-first culture including up to 16 weeks paid parental leave.
Enjoy 35 hours each year for learning and development and a dedicated Graduate Development Program.
Work 2–3 days from home each week as part of our global standard hybrid work model.
Take part in events, celebrations, and team-building activities to make connections and build your network.
Paid volunteering leave to give back to causes that matter to you.

The Team You'll Be Part Of

The global energy market is undergoing rapid transformation, and Siemens is leading the charge. Our Grid Software business is at the forefront of this change, providing innovative simulation tools that enable energy providers, utilities, and grid operators to design smarter, more sustainable power systems.

What You'll Be Doing With Us

Perform hands-on studies on steady-state, transient, power quality, and small signal performance across cutting-edge energy networks, including transmission systems, microgrids, and hybrid grids.
Turn complex technical challenges into clear, actionable insights through high-impact reports that drive real-world solutions.
Be a trusted partner to customers and collaborate with project teams to help implement innovative Siemens technologies, delivering meaningful results for their technical and business needs.
Gain valuable experience by preparing detailed proposals, including cost estimates and technical scopes, and contributing to important contract discussions.
Be at the forefront of industry innovation by providing expert advice to partners, helping shape the future of sustainable energy systems.

You Are

An Australian or New Zealand permanent resident or citizen.
Recently graduated, completing your Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Specialisation in Power Systems or Control Systems is essential.
Proficient in Python programming.
Confident with simulation tools like PSS®E, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
Ideally, familiar with grid connection engineering for the NEM, with a basic understanding of the NER (National Electricity Rules) and Australian grid standards.
A strong communicator, able to clearly convey complex ideas both verbally and in writing.
Strategically minded with strong business sense, capable of aligning technical expertise with broader business goals.

Building a Workplace for Everyone

We are committed to ensuring our workplace reflects the communities in which we operate, that everyone has access to the same opportunities and is treated fairly, and that we actively empower the voices of every individual voice.

We strive to provide a safe working environment for each member of our diverse team and commit to continuously develop our ways of working on this journey. From our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan to our diverse cultural celebrations, LGBTQIA+ education and support to our gender equity initiatives, we strive to make our workplace an inclusive environment where every individual feels empowered and heard.
