LinguaVisa is seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-focused Portuguese Language Tutor to deliver high-quality online Portuguese language instruction to learners of various proficiency levels.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong knowledge of Portuguese language instruction, and the ability to create a motivating virtual learning environment that supports learners in achieving their language goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging online Portuguese language classes to individual and group learners.
Teach Portuguese language skills including speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation.
Develop lesson plans aligned with learners' goals and proficiency levels.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare and share learning materials, assignments, and practice exercises.
Monitor student progress and maintain attendance and performance records.
Foster a positive, interactive, and inclusive learning environment.
Participate in tutor training sessions and academic meetings when required.
QualificationsEssential Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Portuguese Language, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
Minimum 1–2 years of Portuguese language teaching experience.
Strong proficiency in Portuguese (B2/C1/C2 or Native Level).
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
Familiarity with online teaching platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams.
Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
International certification in Portuguese is highly Preferred.
Experience teaching international students.
Experience preparing students for Portuguese proficiency examinations.
Knowledge of modern language teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
Desired Skills
