Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Podcast Operations & Video Editing VA who can take ownership of the entire post-production workflow.
You should be comfortable working independently with minimal direction, identifying compelling moments from long-form interviews, and maintaining consistent recurring production deadlines. ### Podcast Editing & Production * Edit **45–60 minute Riverside podcast episodes**
• Produce **polished final video episodes** suitable for YouTube publishing
• Clean audio, balance levels, remove distractions, and improve overall viewer/listener experience
• Add intro/outro elements, transitions, branding, captions, and basic motion graphics as needed. ### Promotional Content * Create **5–6 engaging promotional clips from every episode**
• Independently identify **strong hooks, insights, stories, and quotable moments**
• Format clips for **YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other social platforms**
• Optimize clips for **audience engagement rather than vanity metrics**. ### Publishing & Distribution * Upload and publish full episodes to **YouTube**
• Write or format **titles, descriptions, timestamps, tags, and thumbnails (if applicable)**
• Distribute audio episodes to **Spotify and other major podcast platforms**
• Ensure episodes are properly scheduled and published according to the production calendar. ### Asset & Workflow Management * Organize recordings and production assets from **Riverside and Dropbox**
• Maintain a clear folder structure and naming convention
• Track episode status from **recording → editing → review → publishing → promotion**
• Help establish a **repeatable production system** that can scale across multiple podcast series. ### Non-Negotiables * **Strong podcast editing experience**
• **Hands-on Riverside experience**
• Experience editing **long-form conversational interviews**
• Ability to **independently identify compelling promotional moments**
• Experience publishing to **YouTube and podcast distribution platforms**
• Excellent **written and verbal communication skills**
• Ability to manage recurring production deadlines **without constant supervision**. **Must be proficient with:*** **Riverside**
• **YouTube Studio**
• **Spotify for Creators / major podcast hosting platforms**
• **Dropbox**
• **Short-form video editing software** (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Descript, or similar)
