The Opportunity:

This is a great opportunity for a mid-level Plumbing Engineer or Designer who wants to deepen their technical expertise, work on meaningful projects, and grow into a trusted local resource within a collaborative MEP environment.
Position Summary:
In this role, you’ll execute plumbing designs under limited supervision, contribute to engineering calculations, develop drawings and specifications, and coordinate closely with project teams to deliver complete, buildable solutions. You’ll also support construction administration, occasional site visits, and the mentorship of junior staff while building your path toward greater technical and local leadership.

Execute plumbing design work with minimal oversight
Perform engineering calculations and support equipment selection
Develop plumbing drawings and specifications
Coordinate with internal project team members to ensure complete and constructable designs
Work with regulatory officials as needed
Support construction administration efforts
Conduct occasional site visits to confirm design intent is being met
Help mentor and train junior staff
Contribute to firm documentation and quality control standards
Assist with workload planning and time-to-complete estimates
Required Qualifications:
4–8 years of relevant plumbing design/engineering experience
Proficiency in Revit
EIT, PE, or CPD credential
Experience working in a consulting environment
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with LEED, water reuse/harvesting, healthcare, process engineering, or high-rise projects
Background in high-performance building design
Interest in growing into a local leadership role
Passion for mentoring and contributing to team development
Familiarity with Plumbing, MedGas, wastewater, and related building systems
Work Environment and Location:
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in our Los Angeles, CA office. All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $105,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience)
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac’s total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
