We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Plumber in HMP Deerbolt, Bowes Road, Barnard Castle DL12 9BG.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 07:30 and 16:00 Monday to Thursday; 07:30 and 15:00 Friday; 07:30 and 15:30 Saturday to Sunday. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:
• Routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.

What you will bring:
• Full driving licence
• Experience in a commercial environment
• Experience in operating light plant
• NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we may consider NVQ level 2)
• Legionella Control (L8) is desirable
