Job Description
• To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
• Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
• Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
• Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
• Handling customer queries and responding to call outs.
• Troubleshooting and resolving problems.
• To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.
• To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.
• To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.
• To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.
• To always maintain effective communication with the Engineering Supervisor.
• To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.
• To utilize or recommend usage of all environmentally friendly products in the work place.
• To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.
• To carry out repairs, maintenance and installation to all related plant and equipment
• To attend to maintenance request in a timely manner
• Check on water, oil level and control of major repair
• To ensure the maintenance upkeep, movement, disposal, and addition of assets is updated
• To carry out quality repairs and maintenance works as directed.
• To complete work orders, PPM’s and minor enhancements (after approval) as directed.
• To select correct materials from engineering store.
• To organize work in a skilled and professional manner.
• To ensure safe working condition for yourself and your colleagues and report to senior colleagues for unsafe working conditions.
• To advise supervisor promptly of any problems.
• To ensure that work areas are left in a safe working condition.
• To liaise with department/section head for the shutdown of equipment as required for reactive and planned maintenance.
• Work in own initiative without full supervision or direction.
• If working on boiler or associated system to ensure the correct tag out protocol is followed.
• Read and understand basic drawing.
• Request support, direction, and assistance as needed or required by situation and work.
• To assist other technicians when required.
• To ensure that they have refresh training every 6 months on the use of MEWPS, PPE and electrical safety
• Be familiar and comply with all relevant Engineering Department policies, processes and procedures.

Qualifications
• Trade school diploma or completed apprenticeship.
• 2+ years of experience as a plumber.
• Valid plumbing license Various trades like Plumbing, Mechanical
• Building Management System
• Building Fire Safety Fire Fighting
• Awareness of swimming pool water quality treatment
• Experience in computer-based planned preventive maintenance and work order system
• Good working knowledge of water supply, heating, and ventilation systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using plumbing tools.
• Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and patience.
• Physical dexterity

Additional Information

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a 5-star hotel
