In this role, you'll be essential in the installation and renovation of a wide range of commercial—and occasionally domestic—installations throughout the South West. This positon sits within our Small Works team.

As a commercial plumber, you will work directly with clients in the retail, hospitality, and public sectors. Your work will have a direct positive impact on individuals’ lives, and you will always receive support from our friendly Help Desk team, assisting you with scheduling and planning.

Role Overview:
• Permanent full-time position, 42.5 hours per week (with optional overtime and you may be required on-call rotation of 1 in 6 weeks)
• Plantroom replacement, pumps, water heaters, and other similar equipment upgrades. Mostly in commercial settings.
• Assist with complex tasks, so knowledge of hot and cold water systems, commercial heating systems, and installation methods is advantageous
• Communicate with our Help Desk and Small Works contract manager.
• Support installation teams offering guidance on plumbing legislation and procedures
• Complete compliance paperwork electronically, including relevant certifications
• Uphold high standards of workmanship and safety in a customer-focused environment
• Assist with quoting remedial works and provide detailed reports for follow-up tasks.

Required Skills:
• Recognised Domestic and Commercial plumbing qualifications
• Experience with plumbing installations and repairs in commercial settings
• Any manufacturer training is beneficial.

Areas of Coverage:

Bristol and within 1.5 hours

Person Specification:
• Previous experience in a fast-paced maintenance role
• A valid driving license
• Willingness to complete a DBS check, and pass to work within education facilities
• Ability to work from plans while taking initiative and operating independently
• A friendly, customer-focused demeanour
• Flexibility and adaptability when responding to reactive tasks across various sites
• Organised with strong attention to detail and quality
• Awareness of health and safety practices
• Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
• Experience working as part of a mobile workforce
• Confidence in engaging with clients and suppliers
• A proactive team player with great communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop alongside the business
