Physical Therapist Assistant PTA – Full Time

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Full-time, M-F 8-5pm
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist patients in improving mobility, restoring function, relieving pain, and preventing or limiting permanent physical disabilities. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional activities.
• Monitor patients' progress and report observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients and families in exercises and techniques to be continued at home.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment in clean and safe condition.
• Document patient care services accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current PTA license or certification in the state of practice.
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions, work independently, and as part of a team.
