Spandana Hospital seeks a full-time, junior-level Physical Therapist Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of relevant experience. Qualifications and Skills
• Patient Assessment (Mandatory skill) Ability to evaluate patient needs effectively to contribute to treatment planning and overall rehabilitation outcomes.
• Therapeutic Exercises (Mandatory skill) In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in administering and supervising prescribed exercise regimens for optimal recovery.
• Modalities Application (Mandatory skill) Proficient in safely utilizing and managing a variety of therapeutic modalities as per physician instructions and patient care protocols.
• Manual Therapy Skilled in performing manual therapy techniques to assist in pain reduction, mobility improvement, and supporting patient recovery goals.
• Gait Training Capable of guiding patients through gait and mobility training to restore or enhance ambulation effectively and safely.
• Patient Education Adept at providing clear instructions and rehabilitative education to patients and their families to facilitate home programs and self-management.
• Electronic Medical Records Experience in documenting and managing patient details efficiently using electronic medical record systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Rehabilitation Planning Ability to collaborate in developing and modifying care plans to maximize patient progress in a multi-disciplinary clinical setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs and diagnosis.
• Conduct patient assessments and report observations, progress, and responses to treatment to supervising therapists.
• Administer prescribed therapeutic exercises and mobilization techniques to support patients physical health and recovery.
• Apply physical modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat or cold packs according to treatment protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, aftercare, and home-based rehabilitation exercises for enhanced outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with hospital standards.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, review, and communicate with therapists regarding patient progress and potential modifications to treatment plans as needed.
