Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a refined part-time opportunity for a professional and discreet Private Cook to support a welcoming family in one of Oxford’s most desirable residential areas. Nestled among elegant homes and leafy avenues, this peaceful neighbourhood offers a serene and respectful environment, just a short distance from the city’s historic centre.

This is a permanent, part-time, live-out position requiring the successful candidate to work Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., approximately 3 to 4 hours per day, depending on mealtime requirements. The role will focus on preparing and cooking healthy dairy-free evening meals, with a strong emphasis on Asian cuisine. Familiarity with Chinese culinary traditions will be considered a distinct advantage; however, other culinary styles such as Mediterranean and other international cuisines are equally welcome, provided they align with the family’s dietary preferences.

The family are seeking a reliable and experienced private cook who is capable of working independently, with excellent organisational skills and high standards of hygiene. All ingredients will be provided by the client. In addition to cooking duties, the cook will be expected to serve the table, clear away after meals, and thoroughly clean the kitchen after each use.

The household maintains a “shoes-off” policy and places a high value on hygiene, respect, and professionalism. There are two cats in residence, though no pet care duties are required.

Main Duties of the Part-Time Private Cook:
• Planning and preparing healthy, dairy-free evening meals
• Focusing on Asian cuisine (Chinese culinary knowledge preferred; Mediterranean and other international cuisines also welcome)
• Serving the table and clearing up after dinner
• Kitchen clean-up after cooking and meal service
• Working independently and maintaining excellent hygiene standards
• Using ingredients provided by the client
• Respecting household routines and dietary preferences
• Pet-friendly (two cats, no pet care duties)
• Working Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (3–4 hours per evening)

Requirements for this Private Cook Job:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in private cooking roles
• Strong checkable references
• UK working permit
• DBS check
• Fluency in English
